Information about the current situation

 

Due to the current circumstances, GBI AG has largely - and where possible - switched its business to home office operations. We hold daily video or telephone conferences and maintain the normal flow of information. This also means that the necessary data rooms can be and are accessed at any time. In this way, we can continue our current proceedings and maintain internal and external communication with minimum disruption. You can still reach our staff on the usual telephone numbers, which have been adapted accordingly.

Our planning and development work will continue as before. Fortunately, our construction sites are also running as usual. In this special situation, the site managers monitor the health and safety conditions at work, particularly with regard to keeping distances and other protective measures for the staff working there in accordance with the official regulations.

Charitable foundation - body responsible of the GBI Group of Companies

The GBI Group combines entrepreneurial activities with social commitment. The Moses Mendelssohn Foundation forms the umbrella of the Group and is the sole proprietor of the holding company and its subsidiaries. It is deeply dedicated to the intellectual heritage of the philosopher and enlightener Moses Mendelssohn and promotes projects in the field of Jewish-European history.

 

The GBI Holding AG executes overarching tasks such as financing, legal matters, investments, group management, controlling, human resources, accounting and marketing/public relations.

GBI AG  - The Property Developer

For GBI AG, “Temporary Living” is more than just one line of business among others: We work on that subject continuously. Classic Business, Design, Economy and Budget properties are firm parts of our portfolio as are mixed-use projects and our SMARTments product series. They all serve the increasing demand for sophisticated, temporary housing among different target groups.

In addition to developing the projects, the successful placing of the properties on the market is of special concern to us. That is why we bring together outstanding locations, dedicated operators and reliable investors. With our hotels, the first German fund for budget hotels could be launched. Our SMARTments were the first student apartments that were marketed institutionally, and this policy is continued successfully. We also sell apartments into part-ownership. We advise international partners and accompany them on their market entry in Germany. Our expertise is likewise in demand for external consulting mandates, lectureships and numerous presentations.
