Thanks to its corporate structure, GBI is a flexible partner when it comes to the development of projects. With our subsidiary GBI Planung und Baumanagement GmbH as general planner, we can reliably act as principal developer. In other cases, we may opt for a joint venture or for working as a general contractor on behalf of our partners. For property owners:

We develop projects together with you as a private owner including the related concepts. With our expertise and competence as a general contractor, we assume responsibility for the development as a whole - with completion and maximum price guarantee.

For investors:

We offer strict adherence to time schedules and cost plans. Through our experience, we take everything to a common denominator, no matter whether it concerns hotel brands or, for example, our SMARTments products. In the end, you “simply” take over the finished project!

From old to new

Some long-established houses that have become a bit long in the tooth may well become competitive again under a new brand after a push of modernisation. We actively support such processes: The Park Inn in Nuremberg and the NH Hotels in the cities of Hamburg and Erlangen are good examples of successful refurbishment. A very special project is currently underway in Cologne: The 18-floor high-rise formerly known as Gotha skyscraper was completely gutted and is now being developed into a Holiday Inn Express featuring 323 rooms. Earlier, we had already converted an old office building in Cologne into a new SMARTments student property.
