When it comes to temporary living, we think outside the box. GBI AG has been developing new products in the field of serviced apartments and hotels for two decades now. Be it the management of a hotel fund, support to the market launch of international companies, or the establishment of our own brands such as our SMARTments family - we place value on continuously expanding our portfolio. Our partners have relied on our expertise for many years and are always happy to work with us.
Our first SMARTments business opened in Hamburg in 2013. Since then, we have developed seven locations in Hamburg, Mannheim, Munich, Berlin and Vienna and we are planning many more.
The apartments in central locations are ideal for project workers, commuters or travellers who want to spend extended periods of time in one place. The properties, which are equipped with state-of-the-art design and technology, offer digital check-in, high-speed internet and flexible service modules.
GBI AG develops tailored concepts for individual hotel locations or combines hotels for different customer groups - at Nuremberg main station, for example. Our collaboration with Citizen M is set to become an important partnership in the coming years, as part of our global expansion. At the same time, we contribute our expertise to active fund and asset management, for example for the Bayrische Versorgungskammer (BVK) hotel fund.
In addition to the combination of different hotel classes, we are increasingly focussing on ambitious urban development situations, whereby we manage communications with political and administrative players and participate in the social infrastructure.
The first major project constructed in Frankfurt's Europaviertel consisted of three hotels, two serviced apartment buildings, a student residence and a childcare centre.
In Hamburg's Münzviertel district, GBI AG is working together with its investment company NORD PROJECT and the Azubiwerk foundation to develop a complex comprising living areas for apprentices, micro-living and intergenerational living accommodation, as well as a student residence.
At Düsseldorf's main railway station, plans include not only serviced apartments and a hotel but also a restaurant and new public square.
