GBI is a firmly established name across the housing sector in Germany, and the company group has also been represented in Austria since 2017. With a great deal of success: During this time, our Vienna team has collaborated with major partners to realise projects at a number of different locations.

With the opening of the Intercity Hotel as early as 2020, we established the largest hotel in Graz. The "Samuel Steinherz Haus" was likewise erected in Graz and is home to fully equipped student apartments. Meanwhile, the Ari-Rath-Haus was recently handed over in Vienna's Heiligenstadt and offers serviced apartments and student accommodation under one roof. Two further SMARTments in Vienna have also been open for some time now - the Martin Buber Haus (student accommodation) and the Teddy Kollek Haus (serviced apartments).

As a company with a holistic approach, we rely on our experience in the sphere of classic and commercial housing. In addition to the projects developed to date, we are now also concentrating on other forms of housing. In the future, we intend to focus on the residential accommodation and senior living asset classes. Initial projects in Austria are currently in planning.

WE ARE SEEKING PLOTS

We are looking for plots in and around urban locations across the country. Our asset classes include student accommodation, classic/privately financed properties, hotels, apartment buildings, senior living and complex residential estate developments. The available gross floor area should be roughly 2,500 square metres or more for individual properties, or up to 90,000 square metres for neighbourhood developments. We not only buy previously undeveloped land, but also conversion sites or buildings, while we are also highly experienced in converting complicated sites.
